What to wear on Thanksgiving Day is a bit of a conundrum. Because there are hours and hours and hours of cooking, and then the second the cooking part stops the eating part has to start because I’ve been asked whether dinner’s ready eighteen times per minute for the past two hundred minutes and now I need to feed my kids so they stop asking.
Which means the transition from “what to wear while cooking” (something I can spill turkey juice on) to “what to wear while eating” (something comfortable but cute enough to mayyyybe result in an actual, all-four-of-us-looking-at-the-camera-and-looking-non-miserable family photo) better be a quick one. And it better involve stretchy material, because food.
This sweater is kiiiiinda perfect (and excuse me but the price) and makes the whole stove-to-table transition take approximately five seconds (the website says go true to size, but my personal opinion is that you should go up a size so it’s not tooooo…you know…..cropped). It also has a collar that you can use to hide the fact that you have sweet potatoes in your hair and that you are presently eating the last piece of pie, should you so choose. And it’s the color of wine! Who doesn’t like wine (and wine-colored things)? And the fact that it’s Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s shouldn’t surprise you, because it appears that everything Lauren Conrad touches is adorable.
Also, quick round of applause for those jeans, because they’re slightly stretchy and slightly high-rise and perfectly distressed and from Rock & Republic for Kohl’s, and should cost about a hundred and fifty dollars more than they actually do.
Wait wait! Before you go, speaking of sweaters: I didn’t see this one when I was ordering a sweater to wear in this post, but I’m obsessed with the shape and it’s
Okay. As you were. (Eating leftovers, presumably.)
