Wild Nights

Last night, after fried clams and Coors at Morton’s Pub (above, I’m with my cousins Tina – check out her stuffing recipe here – and Haylie), we all headed back to Trudy’s for a little carousing. I’m sorry, Mom wants me to say “an evening of music.” Fine, an evening of music.

And carousing.

See? That would be my mother getting down with The Animals on Trudy’s keyboard.

And this is Nanny Ruth and me doing Nanny’s signature dance move.

I have officially promised all involved that our spirited rendition of “Me and Bobby McGee” will never find its way to the internet, so Tina’s easiest-ever baked brie will have to suffice as a final snippet of the evening.

Just wrap up a round of Brie in some puff pastry and bake at 325F for 30 minutes or so. Tina also recommends spooning a layer of apple pie filling (you can buy it in a can, or make your own with sliced apples, a little brown sugar, a little white sugar, and a sprinkling of cinnamon) over the Brie before wrapping it in the pastry.
