The Itty-Bitty Camp Tee on my favorite girl
A question I’ve gotten over and over and over lately: what is up with glam | camp?
I haven’t been posting as much about it lately, true. New additions to our inventory have been few and far between, and the best sweatshirt in the world has been out of stock for a solid month. If you look at our About page, there’s a whole new person there. And the reason why I’ve been more or less radio silent on the topic lately is that we’ve been in a state of transition, and I wanted to wait until we worked out any kinks before posting about it.
The Adulting Sweatshirt is coming back! (And there’s a discount if you preorder by 2/3/17.)
What happened to initiate the transition was that Erin recently took on a full-time job – and adding that onto our various shared projects (including this minor production) left her with virtually no time to shoulder the massive amount of time required to handle the shop on a day-to-day basis. We wrestled with the idea of what to do for awhile, because both of us were frustrated by how little time we had to work on glam | camp, and the shop was starting to feel stagnant. What we ultimately decided to do: bring on our friend Elise to manage it and add her own (complimentary, but still very unique) aesthetic to the products.
So: if you head over to the site now, you’ll see that lots of new products have been added, including the ones you see here (in photos that just so happen to be some of my favorites ever). There’s the kids’ camp tee (which also comes in a super-soft adult version that I own and wear wayyyyy too often) and an adorable take on the classic amber teething necklace (my daughter isn’t teething anymore, but I love the look of amber beads, and especially love the addition of turquoise), which also comes in a bracelet size that you can totally use as an anklet, just saying. But my absolute favorite new addition has to be the unisex denim jacket for the feminists of the future (each one is one-of-a-kind, made using hand-picked upcycled denim). Obsessed.
So anyway, yay! We’re really excited about this development, and think that it’ll make the site way more fun and dynamic.
Hooray for fun dynamism!
