Kendrick went to Mohegan Sun with some friends on Friday night, so Saturday morning was just me and my other favorite guy. By 10:30AM, we had done the following:
Taken a nature walk…
Eaten eggs and avocado for breakfast…
Stopped by the Farmer’s Market to feed my radish obsession…
Made a trip to the gardening store and repotted five plants (including the hibiscus pictured above)…
And made Chinese Chicken Salad for a BBQ.
By 10:45, I was ready for a nap. Or a medal. Or both. I settled for five minutes laying flat on my back with an air conditioner blowing directly onto my face.
Once Kendrick returned home with his craps-table winnings ($100; I couldn’t believe it, either), we headed over to a party at our friend Katie’s place.
Every single weekend, it seems, we do our best to get a photo in which all family members present are looking at the camera with open eyes and non-stunned expressions. So far it hasn’t worked, but has resulted in some very funny attempts.
We spent Sunday in Connecticut with our friends Stephen and Dave…
And were extremely happy about it.
