Wednesday began at the gorgeous, gorgeous Whole Foods up on 97th and Columbus. It was tough not to shop while we shot – the place was absolutely overflowing with rainbow heirlooms, bright-pink wild salmon, to-die-for parmigiana, and hundreds of other things that I wanted very much to eat. (The fact that there is no Whole Foods – or Trader Joe’s, for that matter – anywhere near our apartment is a source of constant frustration for me, because I am forced to either scour the produce department at our local Food Emporium looking for something vaguely fresh-looking, or pay twenty bucks for four tomatoes.)
Above, I’m wearing a Lafayette 360 jacket from Loehmann’s, an Eighty Sixty blouse, my new Vintage Revolution skinny jeans, and Steven by Steve Madden ankle boots (thank you, Felix!).
Get a similar look: Victoria’s Secret corduroy 2-button blazer ($78), Madison Marcus grey silk layer tank ($185), Vintage Revolution skinny jean legging ($118), Steve Madden Carlsen boots ($89.95).
Also: I fell completely in love with the lip gloss that Deb used on me, Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in Electric ($18; raspberry-tinged pink with a non-tacky hint of glitter).
The final shot of the day took place in our apartment. Look at the wonders that a set designer can do to one’s bedroom – too gorgeous! A little tip I picked up: punch down the center of pillows into a “V” to make them look that much more polished.
