Hell’s Kitchen | NYC
I have been DYING to show you this sweatshirt.
This photo was actually taken in NYC when I was there last month, but I’m only posting it now because of a very valuable lesson in retail that I recently learned: please, oh please do not promote a product that you do not have in sufficient quantities to accommodate demand.
It’s an excellent one to keep in mind. Because what happened last month was that Erin and I were wandering around in New York and I was wearing our brand-new sweatshirt, and I decided to post a shot of it on Instagram because I freaking love it and it makes me laugh every time I look at it. I did this despite the fact that we only had a few of them printed up at that point because I expected mayyyyyybe, like, two orders to come from that – but we ended up selling out and going into preorder mode by the end of the day. And then the company we had hired to print more of the things decided to pretend we weren’t alive for a month or so, which was awesome.
But now?! We have them back in stock. They’re heeeeeere! Like, physically sitting here, all cozy and wonderful and perfectly encapsulating of our general feeling about this whole “being a grownup” thing. (Spend fourteen hours at AT&T setting up a new phone line? Figure out the password to the AppleTV? Cook waffles but not those waffles only thooose waffles and cut them up into tiny little pieces – no, tinier please – to satiate very small yet ravenous stomachs? Ugh, fine.)
Adulting may be the worst, but wearing a perfect sweatshirt while doing it makes things better.
P.S. If you’re not sure about sizing, I’m a size 4 and am wearing a medium here, if that helps.
P.P.S. If you want one, you can take 15% off of any of our sweatshirts with code COZY all weekend long :). Yay weekend. Yay sweatshirts.
