Springtime = an excellent time for a makeup refresher.
What I love about the two looks below: they’re on opposite ends of the spectrum – one is all smoky and sultry, and the other is light and rosy – but both are so fresh-looking, and so easy, and so great for the change of season…and I happen to have the perfect perfect perfect product recommendations for both of ’em, because they’re both looks I do a lot myself.
So: let’s talk makeup.
To get this look – which is one of my all-time favorites – you’re going to need a gold eyeshadow (I love Make Up For Ever’s Star Powder in Pink Gold), a brown eyeshadow with a little shimmer in it (this palette is a must-own and pretty much the only thing you need to create a smoky eye), mascara, a kohl liner to add a little definition to the outer corners of your eyes, and a matte pink lipstick (and if you don’t own Lipstick Queen’s Pinky Nude yet, you should).
And for this one, you need a pale pink eyeshadow, a seriously good mascara, and one hell of a hot-pink lipstick (I’ve actually found two perfect ones over the years: YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in Devotion and Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Lipstick in Pink Vibrations).
