OK, gotta say it: so far, the StriVectin shoot has been UNBELIEVABLY fun. I mean, I adore hosting more than pretty much anything in the world, so it’s not like much about this job is misery-inducing, but today involved things like manicures at Ajune Day Spa, kickboxing at New York Sports Club, and wandering down Park Avenue chatting with the very, very cool Anu, owner of Swirl Events (a company that organizes full-service, customized wine tasting events, and that I first heard about at the Newlywed Nest a few months ago).
I haven’t kickboxed in a few years…but I used to be pretty good at it (yes, really), and today’s shoot got me all nostalgic about the sport. I may just have to pick it up again one of these days; there’s just nothing like it for cardio + strength training + forgetting that you’re even exercising at all because you’re having so much damn fun.

I also want to point out the pretty fantastic ankle-zip Joe’s Jeans (similar to these) that Felix of Say It With Style (you may remember him from this) put me in. Cute, no? He paired them with a Max Studio knit top (try something like this for a similar look), Steve Madden pumps (similar to these), and some gold hoops. It was a real change for me to wear something that body-conscious – I’m usually more of a loose-and-cozy kinda girl – but it was nice to switch things up a bit.
P.S. Kendrick wants to know what’s up with me and my Mini Legs. It’s the camera angle, OK? Also: shush.
