I’ve been really into bright lipsticks lately, but have noticed that this look creates a bit of a problem: whenever I decide that I’ve had enough of a given color, I wipe it off…only to discover that not only are my lips still stained, but also that the area around them is now a lovely popsicle hue.
A little tip I picked up at the YSL counter during Fashion’s Night Out: if you need to switch one bright lipstick color for another in a pinch, rub off as much of the first color as possible with a tissue, and then apply a thin coat of concealer (such as Touche Eclat) to your lips (and the surrounding area, if necessary) to create an even, totally neutral starting point from which to apply the new shade.
