Today’s trip to Carl Schurz park consisted just of me and the kids. Far more relaxing than last weekend’s outing, to be sure, but Lucy and Virgil missed Morgan and Cooper (they told me so). This time I just munched on Two Boots and shared my Poland Spring with the puppies – no fancy brie & sangria, alas – but I did learn how to keep flowers fresher longer, thanks to a nearly uninterrupted hour in the company of Allure (trim the stems at an angle, cut off any leaves that will be submerged, and add a pinch of sugar, a squeeze of lemon, and a few drops of bleach to the water).
