Snow day! Again.
I think I have seen snow more in the months since we moved up here than I did in the three decades I lived in Manhattan.
Anyway, for me snow days mean Chinese food. (And maybe chocolate chip cookie-baking; we’ll see.)
Tip: When ordering Chinese food, I always order extra veggies in garlic sauce (my local restaurant calls it “Chinese Green Vegetables”, but it’s basically just a mix of broccoli, snow peas, baby bok choy, and green beans). The next evening, I quickly bake some chicken thighs in white wine, and serve them with the vegetables over a little leftover brown rice, as pictured above.
That’s a $4 dinner, right there. Done.
