Tiny Fantastic Discoveries

Splits59 River Airweight Stirrup Leggings. Never did I ever think stirrup pants would be a part of my life, but consider me schooled. I bought these on the recommendation of my friend Kim…and then immediately bought another pair, because they’re that good.

The leggings on vacation in Carmel, with Jeffrey Campbell boots + Pilcro denim jacket

Incredibly soft and lightweight, and confusingly chic and versatile (I’ve been wearing them with sneakers, moto boots, even sparkly heels). Highly recommended.

Charlotte tilbury pillow talk lip liner review

Hello, this is an extremely close-up photo

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Liner. I am aware this is not a “discovery,” per se, as the product is already quite popular in the absence of a Ramshackle Glam recommendation. HOWEVER, as a traditionally non-lip liner-wearing person – I rarely even wear lipstick – the degree to which this single product has transformed my beauty routine cannot be overstated. I wear it every single day, and if I find myself without it, I am vexed. If you, too, have those little wrinkly lines around your mouth because you maybe smoked far too many Camel Lights in your twenties (don’t do that, kids): Over-line those lips a la Kylie, and the wrinkles fade into the background. Also, a (light) over-line gives you a touch of anime face, which I personally kind of enjoy.

Milani color fetish lipstick Charlotte tilbury dupe

As a secondary recommendation if you find the Tilbury liner too expensive, Milani Color Fetish Lipstick in Secret is a fantastic dupe. (Credit for this find goes to Erin Williams; thank you Erin.)

Klein Tools Canvas Bag. Alternate opinions welcome, but I think that this is the coolest idea for an everyday bag (and definitely as a travel bag). First, it opts you right out of the luxury bag game, but in a deliberate way as opposed to a Walmart Birkin way. Second, it’s crazy durable, obviously, and holds everything – there’s steel construction inside to hold it open, and tons of variously-sized internal pockets (technically for tools, of course, but they work just as well for your bits and bobs).

instant vacation browning lotion review

Instant Vacation Browning Lotion. This brand is too expensive; you’re paying for the cool factor of the packaging (which is, admittedly, very cool). That said, this particular product from the line is absolutely worth it: It smooths and protects your skin with SPF 30 while also giving you a gorgeous insta-tan that lasts. My legs are a lovely shade of Death at the moment, but since I still insist on wearing shorts in January this tanner has come in very handy. (Also, love the easy, no-mitt-required application.)
