Hard Tail Crossover Sweater & Bootcut Knit Pants
OK, seriously: when did fitness wear go and get all cute on me?
Maybe it was during those years when I was ignoring it completely (by which I mean All Of Them).
Anyway, it’s REALLY cute now. Like, it-feels-kind-of-like-a-shame-to-waste-it-on-the-gym cute. And the good thing about “fitness wear” is that another word for it is “activewear,” which in my world means “the stuff that I wear when I am chasing children around” (a.k.a “the stuff that I wear every day, all of the time”). Which, at the moment, is a pair of yoga pants with ripped-up hems and a shirt I bought on a tour of a college that I did not go to. To give you a reference point, I toured colleges in 1998.
1998.
Want proof?
Yup. Complete with totally organically created thumb-holes.
So it might be time for a new wear-around-wherever wardrobe. And there are SO MANY OPTIONS.
I mean, look at that photo up there. I would totally wear that. Not to exercise – although that’s a nice idea, it just ain’t happening with the newborn + toddler + work + figuring out how in god’s name to move my family across the country schedule these days (oh my god the paperwork) – but rather just to…live. Comfortably.
And cutely.
Let’s look at some more pretty pieces for the gym (or the couch); that’ll be fun.
