Meet your new go-to glassware: a set of Baccarat champagne glasses originally designed for the Russian Imperial Court that retail for a measly $8,995.00 (a steal, really, when you consider that there are 12 of them and they go for $2,000 each individually). When I look at this photo, I find myself holding my breath in terror that my clumsiness might somehow shoot its way across the internet and send the things flying.
Obviously the idea of ever buying something like this is ludicrous, but price aside: aren’t they just gorgeous? I love gemstone-hued crystal glasses, and have found – although, sadly, never purchased – stunning specimens at antique shops in the past. The site I found these on – Malleries.com, an “Antique & Luxury Mall” – is actually really fun to poke around on for inspiration.
These are also very pretty (although at $66 each they’re still out of the range of what I consider reasonable for items that will be involved in wine-drinking and thus probably end up shattered). How stunning would the Azzurro Light blue be with a silver-and-white table setting?
