I just got home from a sonogram appointment (all is well; heard the heartbeat and saw a 3-D image of the baby’s face) and lunch with Lilit and turned on my computer…
and was greeted by an outpouring of support and love the likes of which I’ve never experienced. Ever.
None of this has felt particularly real to me so far – I have very, very little (almost no) experience with children, and I’ve been really excited, of course, but have been having trouble connecting the images on the screen with what’s going on in reality…but your emails, Tweets, and comments – all your amazing words and thoughts and warm wishes – have made my day. My year.
