Check out SoftMaps: I’ve written about them before, and continue to think that they’re an amazing, special (and useful!) gift that’s perfect for marking a baby’s arrival or a special birthday.
What they are: beautiful baby blankets made from an image of a map of any location you like (pictured above is the “Manhattan” blanket)…plus, you can have the blanket personalized with the baby’s name and hearts or stars over significant spots on the map (such as where the family lives or where the baby was born). A good friend of mine gave me one a few months ago, and I just treasure it: once it’s too small for Indy to sleep with, I’m going to turn it into a wall-hanging for his room.
