I’ve never been to Sundance (I almost went once, for this movie, but ended up not being able to make it happen), but…I mean, it sounds amazing. Snowboarding and movies!! Cozy boots instead of stilettos! That kind of thing.
I also always love browsing through the celebrity shots from places like EW’s Sundance Lounge; everyone looks like a relaxed, happy, pared-down version of their red carpet selves: the hair is (or at least appears) natural and unfussy, the makeup is (or at least appears) barely-there, and pieces like knit sweaters and jeans take the place of mermaid gowns and tulle.
In other words: red carpet photos are fun and all, but Sundance is a great place to find some “real-world” celebrity style inspiration.
It’s about time for me to head back to the salon for a pre-spring color boost, so let’s talk the best vibrant shades spotted by the slopes:
Naomi Watts’ cool, all-over blonde…
Jessica Bield’s super-subtle ombre (and bangs)…
Jennifer Hudson’s rich, warm espresso…
Keri Russel’s honey-streaked light brown…
And Tamsin Egerton’s chunky highlights.
If you’re boosting your color in anticipation of Spring, remember to care for your new look by using a low-sulfate shampoo and conditioner that won’t strip out your color before you have a chance to show it off. Dove Color Care Shampoo and Conditioner* are lower in sulfates and contain Vibrant Color Lock technology to gently cleanse and nourish hair while keeping color vibrant for up to 8 weeks (I’m particularly into the Daily Treatment Conditioner*, which contains a white stripe for nourishment and a pink stripe to keep color vibrant).
