Consider this a Street Style post, if the “street” was actually my aunt’s backyard, and the “anonymous stylish person” was actually my cousin Haylie, who showed up to dinner looking so lovely and season-appropriate that I had to pull her onto the lawn for a few photos.
Floral dress + denim jacket has a sweet, sorta ’90s feel to it, and makes for perfect transitional attire – you can take off the jacket when the sun is shining and stash it in your bag (you may recognize the one above from this post), and then throw it over your shoulders once the day cools off (or the mosquitoes come out). Add aviators and chunky jewelry, and this is a relaxed, pretty look for a late summer/early fall date that starts in the afternoon and goes late into the evening.
