There’s something about the close proximity of fancy yachts that make me feel like I should reach for the resort wear.
Be ladylike.
Breezy.
Prettily manicured.
Something else I strongly feel that I should reach for: room service berries (I still object to the ludicrous expense of room service on principle…but also can’t say that it’s not really lovely to open the door the moment I wake up to discover a pot of coffee and a bowl of fruit).
For our second day of shooting with Crocs at the Miami Yacht Show, I called on the resort wear High Priestess herself, Lilly Pulitzer. But isn’t this a kind of unexpected Lilly Pulitzer dress? I completely love it: its relaxed shape makes it casual enough to wear as a cover-up at the beach, but all those little gold accents make it the kind of dress you want to keep on straight through to dinner.
I accessorized the dress with McQueen to stay on-topic for the whole “feeling glamorous on a yacht in Miami” theme.
Once again: can you believe these are Crocs? These translucent sandals (available in mid-March in the black pictured above and lots of bright colors, as well) remind me of the jellies I wore when I was a kid, but all grown up and way cuter.
Flying out of Miami this AM! Have a great weekend.
On me: Lilly Pulitzer Perla Dress, Ippolita earrings, Crocs sandals (available in mid-March), Alexander McQueen bangle, Elizabeth & James sunglasses.
Lipstick: Sue Devitt Lip Intensifier in Kirakira topped with Clinique Almost Lipstick in Luscious Honey – both must-haves.
