A 100% Vegetarian Meal I Can Get On Board With
Thursday night, I got all dressed up (see evidence at left) to head over to my friend Anna's place in Williamsburg for a girls' dinner. The original plan was fish stew, but when a vegetarian friend joined in, Anna switched the menu to pumpkin and sage soup.
Is It Weird That I Sort Of Want This?
I can't help it; I do. It's called a Cakewich, it's $22.99, and it has endless possibilities (I'm thinking chocolate-hazlenut ganache/fluffernutter/banana filling).
The Cakewich is in the gift guide today alongside some lovely dishes for the hostess who has everything, deliciously scented night cream, and Flipcams for a cause.
(Thanks to Anna for the Cakewich link!)
Urban Problem-Solver / Bike Shelf
I've heard lots of my bike-riding friends complain about the impossibility of storing a bike (there's no room in the hallway, landlords won't let you leave it on the landing, and nobody in NYC has any closet space whatsoever), and this Bike Shelf from Knife & Saw solves the problem perfectly...and elegantly.

I have never been to The Frying Pan before (yeah, I know...late to the party), but I will most definitely be back.
Father’s Day / Lakeville, CT Day Trip
For Father's Day, Dad and I got in his car and drove up I-95 towards Connecticut. Our destination: Lakeville, where my friends Jeremy and Eric have a home, and the neighboring town of Sharon.
Twisty Lemon Linguine
Last night, Kendrick and I were craving something fresh and light, so I stopped off at the supermarket on the way home from The Gloss to pick up the four simple ingredients (pasta, mozzarella, lemons, basil) I needed to make the dish.
