The Robert Verdi Luxe Lounge is my absolute favorite thing about Fashion Week: you basically get to wander around, try out awesome products, sip things like SmartWater and X-Rated, and hang with fun people. I’m shooting a bunch of skincare segments all week, so I won’t be attending the shows, but a lazy Sunday afternoon was the perfect time to stop in.
When I found out that dogs were more than welcome, I decided to make it a girls’ afternoon. Lucy loved being swished across town in a Benz just as much as I did.
Every time I go to the Luxe Lounge I end up discovering some new product that I can’t live without, and this time was no different. I am OBSESSED with these Vintage Revolution jeans. Obsessed! They are lightweight, stretchy, and fit like a dream, and you must try to get your hands on a pair (a few styles are available on Piperlime). I like the medium-wash flares (pictured above) the best, but also tried on a pair of dark-wash jeggings that are the most comfortable things ever – and I never think jeans are comfortable.
I also stopped into the Acuvue suite, where I was convinced – oy – to give contact lenses another try. The last time I wore contacts was for exactly one day in college: I had a few cocktails and fell asleep with them in, and had to literally peel them off my eyeballs the next morning (not a fun experience). So I’ve been hesitant about giving them another shot, but my eyesight is getting to the point where I need to wear glasses at all times…and while I love my Zennis (along with absolutely everyone else I run into absolutely everywhere I go), glasses simply don’t work in every situation.
