It’s not very cold out yet, but it will be soon…and thousands of New Yorkers will be forced to make the decision between buying a coat that will keep them warm for the winter and putting food on the table. 90% of homeless people start the season needing a new coat, because they’ve had nowhere to store one during the summer months.
I’m going to be participating in the New York Cares Coat Drive this year, and I have a plan: to ask a few of you guys to collect as many coats as you can from your friends, family, coworkers, whoever…and then I’m going to make the whole thing easier on you by coming to get your coats myself, so there’s no need for you to transport them to a collection center (tentative collection date: December 5). I may also bring you a little holiday surprise in gratitude for your help. 🙂
So if you live in NYC and would like to join me in helping out this wonderful cause, just shoot me an email (jordan@ramshackleglam.com)!
