Question For You / Fish Recipes

I don’t eat a whole lot of seafood. I mean, I obviously eat sushi whenever I can get my hands on it, and I make that Shrimp Saffron Pasta at least once a month…but other than that, the only thing I really do is bake a solo piece of salmon whenever Kendrick’s more interested in leftovers (last night he went for the remains of our New Year’s Eve Pulled Pork) or away for the evening; he’s just not a big fish person.

Picture above is just the simplest possible way to prepare fish – all you do is rub the filet with olive oil, squeeze over a bit of lemon, and sprinkle on some season salt (or regular salt). You can add a sprig of rosemary if you like the stuff or if, you know, you’re taking a picture and need something to add a little color. Bake in a 375 oven for 30 minutes or so, or until salmon is juuuust cooked through (a little pinkness in the middle is what you’re shooting for; the above picture was obviously taken pre-baking).

But! I would like to start incorporating more delicious seafood recipes into my repertoire, in hopes of a) converting my husband into a fish-lover and b) adding new flavors and health benefits to our diet…so I’d love to hear if you have any that you think are particularly great (just FYI, I’m much more likely to try my hand at cooking non-spicy, non-pepper-including recipes).
