My little man at Tuesday night’s Yappy Hour Puppy Playgroup at MaxTamara’s 75th & Paws.
This is Morgan and my’s weekly must-do. Seriously, we schedule all other events around it; it’s just that much fun.
Part of the evening involved a puppy fashion show, which was obviously the best thing ever, mostly because it included a Brussels Griffon in a Christmas Tree sweater.
These are some of the designs that were being modeled – apparently they’re by a woman who custom-makes each one by hand to fit your exact requirements (size, pattern, etc). They’re crazy expensive – $80-$100 – but hey, if you’ve got the money to spend that apple tree pattern in the center is pretty darn adorable. Call (917) 858-9235 to order.
Speaking of dog sweaters, here’s a tip to help avoid the ridiculous (but necessary, at least for smaller dogs) expense: Buy them in August, when stores are trying to get rid of the previous winter’s merchandise to make room for newer styles. You can generally find sweaters for 50-60% off. That’s what I did a couple of months ago, and Virgil has a very cute (and cozy) Irish knit sweater coming his way one of these days.
