For Fashion’s Night Out, Mom and I decided to head over to Saks to check out the goings-on. First stop: the YSL counter to beautify for the rest of the evening. I told them to feel free to lay on the drama, and makeup artist Molly certainly obliged (LOVED my lip color). My favorite products:
– #2 Single Shadow, a sparkly dark brown that works all year ’round
– #10 Rouge Volupte, a matte hot pink that would be spectacular paired with a beige eye and a little liquid liner
– Temps Majeur Eye, an anti-aging/anti-dark circles/anti-puffiness cream that produced instant – and dramatic – results
We also spent far too much time in the shoe section salivating over Elizabeth & James shoes.
I wanted – but sadly could not even come close to affording – these denim suede heels (picture them over patterned tights!):
(Except I just found them for $197 on Zappos, which makes them quite a bit harder to resist.)
And I think that as boots go, it doesn’t get much better than these:
Eeeeeee.
Oh, and it took about five seconds flat for Mom to be coerced onto the dance floor for a little salsa-ing. Moments after this shot was taken, Zac Posen showed up and danced around to “Beat It.”
The night ended in the (absolutely insane) Meatpacking District with Nadine and Jerry, where I was neatly hip-checked by Ms. Wintour’s bodyguards. I didn’t get a great look at Anna before she was whisked by, but I caught a glimpse of a very stunning outfit: a brown tweed suit shot through with gold. Shockingly, she didn’t recognize me from my Cat Girl days 😉
