How-To: Oxblood Jeans

Q. Hi Jordan,

I am a huge fan of your blog and your style and was wondering if you could help me with a style conundrum.

I recently bought oxblood-colored skinny jeans and I love them.  But I’m wondering: how do I transition them from work-appropriate to date night?

Any help you could give would be wonderful.  Thanks so much!

A. If you can wear jeans to the office I’m going to assume you work in a fairly casual environment, so I’d suggest pairing them with a printed silk blouse, a velvet blazer in a neutral tone, cute ankle boots, and a structured bag.

And then for night, it’s an easy switch-up: add a silk tank (I love the combo of teal and burgundy), leopard heels, and a little sparkle. To dress up jeans for evening I also think it’s always fun to add one over-the-top piece, like a furry white wrap (the one pictured here is Temperley and a fortune, but you can find similar styles from Kensie and Calvin Klein for less).
