Alright, we already talked tips on how to wear camouflage pieces…so now let me show you my favorite way to do it.
Like this, basically.
This is a pretty good example of my version of “business casual” – in my line of work, it’s rare to find an occasion when I straight-up can’t wear denim or denim-related things…but when I have a meeting or a business dinner I still like to sort of pretend that I understand the concept of work-appropriate attire. Take away the jacket and swap in some flats and this outfit is perfect for a day of spring shopping, but with the nude heels and blazer the look is just right for a casual Friday or brunch with friends.
Speaking of this blazer: it is fantastic. It’s the same one that I wore for the photo that accompanied this article, and I love it. It totally stresses me out that it’s so lovely and snowy-white, but the cut is so perfect (those skinny lapels!) that I’m willing to put up with a little stress on the side.
(That’s my son’s ukelele. He plays it better than I do.)
On me: Ann Taylor Dress Topper Jacket and Perfect Patent Skinny Belt in Parrot, Urban Outfitters tee, 7-Zip Camo Print Jeans c/o GUESS, Penley heels c/o CC Corso Como, Katherine Kwei purse, necklace c/o Swati Jr*, Sophia Forero ring, fake Ray Bans borrowed from Kendrick.
