We just booked the B&B and car rental for a mini-vacation to Ogunquit in mid-June to celebrate my 30th birthday (which is at the end of May). I am SO EXCITED, and can’t wait to pick up all things seashell-related to decorate the nursery – I’m leaning towards a marine theme.
Other things I’m looking forward to doing on the trip: eating at Pepe’s Pizzeria in New Haven on the drive up, playing mini golf at Wonder Mountain, watching movies in the ancient Leavitt Fine Arts Theater, and hitting Barnacle Billy’s for lobster rolls every single night.
One more thing I’m excited to do: pick up another one of the crystal-studded gold starfish necklaces pictured in the above shot (which was actually taken in Ogunquit last summer). I bought one the weekend of our wedding, and bought a new one last time I went back to Sadie Green’s – it’s only $12, so it tarnishes a bit when you wear it as much as I do. It’s just my favorite piece of jewelry in the world, and I swear, someone stops me to ask me where I bought it every single time I wear it. No exaggeration. (You can also purchase matching earrings, which I also own and love.)
