Sooooo many good things happened during the week I just spent in New York (ate at Sugarfish! TWICE! Had the cheese sampler at Casellula! Discovered that the Children’s Museum has a horrifying-yet-mesmerizing toilet display that helpfully informs you via highly explicit visuals what “healthy” and “unhealthy” poop looks like!) but have to say, one of the most fun things was tramping around the city with my daughter in matching pom pom sneakers.

I don’t know whether everyone on the planet just got pregnant in time for Christmas or what, but The Big Fat Activity Book For Pregnant People is holding steady at #3 on Amazon’s bestseller list for pregnancy and childbirth, and I am DYING. Dyinnnnnnnng. (And also having so much fun working on the next one.)
Did you know that if you order via Sears’ app, Shop Your Way members can literally pull up outside the store and have their items brought out to them in five minutes or less? If you are a parent, you understand why this is nothing short of a miracle (video evidence here).
I randomly tried on Maison Francis Kurkdijan Baccarat 540 perfume at a fancy drugstore the other day, and I don’t think I’ve ever been so completely obsessed with a fragrance. It’s musky, but not heavy; sweet, but not cloying, and just keeps getting better and more interesting the longer it sits on your skin. It’s also really expensive, which means I’m making the little sample bottle the lady at the counter gave me last as long as humanly possible.
I have a lot to say about Al Franken’s resignation last week and keep trying over and over again to write a post on it, but am so emotional about this topic that it’s tough. This article from the Nation sums up my feelings pretty concisely.

The NARS Wanted palette (which lots and lots of you guys have asked me about; it’s what I’ve been wearing on IG lately) contains neutrals ranging from pale pink to sheer bronze to deep chocolate – some with sparkle in them, some without – and is all you need to make your regular makeup all fancy and holiday-ready.
I bought these side-stripe leggings at Zara the other day, and wish I had bought them in a couple of additional colors, because they are amazing. Super flattering on the waist and butt, with the perfect amount of flare at the ankle.
I picked up a record for Kendrick at a used records shop last week and apparently paid…well, a lot more than I should have. If you’re into Phil Spector and holiday music, here you go (it’s $3.99 at Best Buy).

In the winter, I’m in a constant battle against cracked, bleeding fingertips (sorry, ugh, I know). I randomly picked up The Naked Bee Hand & Cuticle Healing Salve while waiting on the checkout line at Ace Hardware – and I’ve never heard of the brand before, but now I will never again be without it. It’s one of the few products I’ve ever found that really works both to heal and to prevent further dryness.

Dooney & Bourke just released a collection of bucket bags emblazoned with NFL logos. This isn’t really my thing, but the bags are cute and I figured someone who’s a huge football fan might freak out over them, so I figured I’d mention it here.
