I’m off to NYC this morning (yes, again; this time for a video shoot and a meeting with our book marketing team). Coming with me: the Lo & Sons Pearl Crossbody (which I’ve written about before; you can see my video of the ridiculous amount of stuff you can fit inside this thing here), Who What Wear’s The Career Code (which just hit stores yesterday), and my walking shoes.
Every time I wear something like this Kendrick’s eyes get very big. “But…but…why would you want to look like you’re shaped like that?” (Meaning like a pickle with a pudgy little center.) I cannot answer this question, but do not care to. Because one cannot always put true love into words.
This whole outfit feels very Dirty Dancing. I dig it.
Yes I would like to smell like sea salt and driftwood please. (I’m not kidding. This perfume sounds like the most amazing scent ever, and I think they have a Jo Malone at the airport; totally going.)

I grew up on the back of the motorcycle; my parents first put me on one (in a backpack-thing and wearing a very tiny helmet) at around 3 months old. Because I was taught motorcycle safety and how to ride from a (kind of crazily) young age, it never felt especially dangerous – to the contrary, it was awesome getting to ride all over the country first in that backpack, then tucked in between my parents, then on the back of one bike or another, and then finally on my own (not to mention the fact that I felt extremely cool pulling up to high school on my Suzuki Savage). Just ordered this industrial-style pendant from Lulu & Georgia because a) our kitchen light is very 1970s-hospital-ish…and not in, like, a cool retro way; in a terrible way, and b) I think Kendrick will really like it. Facebook’s advertising department realllllly thinks I want to own these. They are kind of right, although I know better than to buy them.
Saturday morning cartoon time is the best time. And that is the best couch. Ever. (It’s this one from Crate & Barrel, if you feel like owning a thing that is literally so comfortable that you will actually initiate fights with your spouse so as to have a reason to go sleep on it.)
