For dinner on our first night, Marianne, Marty, Claire (who does PR for Barcelo) and I hit up La Hacienda, the steak and seafood place on the beach. Most all-inclusives give you unlimited access to the buffets, and then a few meals at fancier spots like La Hacienda (the number of a la carte meals you get depends on the package you choose). I’ve only been to a few all-inclusive places in my day, but the steak at La Hacienda was far superior to what I’ve had elsewhere. Let’s be honest: most people don’t go to all-inclusives for the food…but it’s such a nice surprise when la comida turns out to be deliciosa.
