With Gala at last night’s Juicy Couture Fall 2013 “Bad Reputation” presentation.
This Fashion Week, my plan is to pick a couple of days to spend in the city and attend whatever shows happen to fall on those days rather than trucking back and forth all week long…but I couldn’t miss this party. Champagne, chocolate-covered popcorn, Juicy Couture clothing, and a chance to catch up with friends I don’t get to see as much these days made for a pretty excellent evening.
The collection, inspired by icons such as Kate Moss, Joan Jett, Marianne Faithfull and the feminist Russian punk band Pussy Riot, features an eclectic mix of rocker-chick pieces like skin-tight coated denim (my favorite piece was the iridescent pair pictured above), plenty of animal print, preppy standards like tweed jackets and patterned blazers, and a couple of sweet 70’s-style flowery dresses.
(P.S. I own this woodsy/citrusy candle – it’s sitting on our dining room table right now – and it’s delicious.)
