At the J. Crew event I went to the other morning, I was greeted at the door by an absolutely lovely young woman who told me that she was my personal stylist for the day and that she would be helping me pick out whatever I was looking for.
I figured that this lovely young woman was helping me out because, you know, it’s Fashion Week and lovely things like this sometimes happen.
Nope.
As it turns out, J. Crew is now offering clients personal stylists (gratis!) who are available to help you shop in-store, online, or over the phone – whatever’s your thing. They’ll help you pick out head-to-toe looks, assist with sizing, suggest silhouettes and prints, and deliver your purchases straight to your doorstep free of charge. They’re also available 24/7, and will open the store for you late or early, as your schedule permits (seriously).
On my particular shopping trip I was all torn between a classic black bag and a perfect pair of Mary Janes, and it was so much fun having someone there to help me pick out which piece to buy. (I ended up going for both, because they’re both totally perfect investment pieces that go with everything in my closet.)
