I’m headed to Colorado for the week with Better TV, filming a bunch of segments on fall/holiday fashion (yes, already). This trip has presented a bit of a packing conundrum, because it’s apparently going to fluctuate between sixty degrees and a blizzard during the five days that I’ll be there. Oh yes, and I’m bringing wardrobe for five different segments, plus a couple of additional segments that we may or may not film…but at this point aren’t exactly certain what said segments might entail.
Which makes them difficult to pack for.
Basically, I’m bringing All The Things.
But here’s what I’m bringing in my carry-on (that’s an Isabella Fiore satchel).
1. A handful of products for just-before-landing beautification. Pictured: MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation compact, Smith’s Rosebud Salve, Elizabeth Arden New York In Bloom Radiant Bronzing Powder (c/o), Elizabeth Arden New York In Bloom Eye Shadow Trio in Violet (c/o; review here).
2. L’Occitane Lavender Hand Purifying Gel for preventing on-the-go illness (thank you for this, Danielle!).
3. My Kindle. Reading now: Attachments, by Rainbow Rowell (Olivia’s recommendation).
4. Pretty new Swati Jr* earrings to wear in one of the holiday-themed segments.
5. What I am hoping are all of my cords and chargers, but what are also definitely not all of my cords and chargers. I foresee a trip to Best Buy in my future.
6. A Theodora & Callum scarf from ChicTweak that’s technically wardrobe for one of my fall segments, but that is going to pull double-duty by keeping me warm on the flight.
7. My favorite sunglasses at the moment, from GANT (you saw them in this post; these are similar).
8. More bows on the toes (these are Nine West). They’re technically not “in the carry-on”…more like “on my feet while I carry things on”, but you get the point.
I’m also forgetting something.
I’m certain of it.
But I’m just going to have to deal with that fact and get a move on, because my car to the airport is arriving in about 3.5 seconds.
