In My Beach Bag

First of all, I’m aware that a beautiful white Brahmin bag is a ridiculous thing to place in close proximity to things like chlorine, sand, and sunscreen. But it couldn’t be helped; I arrived a good four hours before I was able to check into my room, and I was not about to miss four hours of perfectly good pool time.

Also, it’s Miami and you get to carry white Brahmin bags to the beach if you want to. Or so I hear.

As many gossip magazines as I can fit;

Hawaiian Tropic Tanning Oil with Sunblock in an SPF that my mom will probably yell at me for once she sees this, but I was feeling brave and appear to have survived the error in judgment, what can I say?;

Nivea A Kiss Of Protection Lip Care Stick SPF 30 (delicious);

Simple Skincare Vital Vitamin Day Cream SPF 15 (my for-real face sunscreen was in a checked bag somewhere in the depths of the hotel, and this plus a hat did the trick in the meantime);

Scripts for today’s shoot (we’re doing three Spring/Summer looks at the International Yacht Show);

Sunglasses (wearing these today);

Red lipstick (because you never know);

Inappropriate amounts of totally non-beachy jewelry (because I like wearing inappropriate amounts of totally non-beachy jewelry with bikinis, but still: it’s not coming in the water with me).

P.S. 48 hours, 1 flight, 2 shampooing sessions, 2 dips in the oceans, 3 dips in the pool, and the press-ons are still trucking (and look exactly like they did when I first applied them). Nice.

P.P.S. Everything in the world should smell like Hawaiian Tropic.
