If you follow me on Instagram, this is the photo you saw yesterday. But I wasn’t sitting in a bath with a cocktail; I was sitting in a hospital bed, having a miscarriage from a pregnancy that I hadn’t known was happening.
I made this video because I know that miscarriages are nothing to be ashamed of, or embarrassed about – of course I do – and yet I felt ashamed, and embarrassed. So I decided it was important to me to try to own this particular experience, and for me that means saying what happened right out loud. No sympathy needed – I’m okay, I promise. I just needed to talk about this.
