My mom (who is a fabulous ballroom dancer) just wrote to tell me that the studio where she takes lessons, Dance Chelsea, is offering free dance lessons from 11-6 this Saturday (July 17). You can learn everything from Foxtrot and Salsa to Hustle and East Coast Swing (come and go as you please; a different style of dance is taught each hour), and it’s totally for beginners…no need for any special footwear, or even a partner.
