I am all about the hats lately. My favorite thing about wearing one: no one can let it go. “Hey…nice hat!” “Love your hat.” “Cute hat!” It’s like you’ve tied a gaggle of kittens to your forehead.
For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been courting hat-related attention with this rainbow-wrapped straw creation sent to me by Hat Attack to support skin cancer awareness (see details, below), and pairing it with simple simple simple: cream and white tanks and cardigans, a relaxed satchel (c/o Olsenboye), and the only jeans that want to fit me nowadays: my super-low, stretchy Vintage Revolution flares (fine by me; they’re my favorites).
Oh, and a Cracker Jack cocktail ring. It’s a big plastic yellow diamond surrounded by big plastic white diamonds, and nearly every friend I’ve run into while wearing it has grabbed my hand, pulled it towards their face and looked at me in confusion. “…Kendrick…?”
No. Cracker Jack.
But I love it anyway!
***In honor of Skin Cancer Awareness Month, Hat Attack has teamed up with 31 of their favorite online style bloggers, for the 31 days of May, to help raise awareness and funds towards the fight against Skin Cancer. Hat Attack will donate 20% of all proceeds to the Skin Cancer Foundation on all chosen styles showing how chic and stylish wearing a hat can be to promote safe skin care habits this summer.***
