This fall, I have decided to mix things up from my usual uniform of minidress-and-black tights, and get all nutty and experimental with my legwear. I’ve been teased for my love of leg warmers for a couple of years now, and am pretty excited that my much-adored accessories have now entered the realm of the unmockable (this category also includes all other items seen adorning the limbs of Ms. Moss). In short: I am in serious acquisition mode for odd lower-half wardrobe pieces.
From left:
1) These super-wearable yet sexy sexy sexy cashmere Hansel From Basel thigh-highs ($22) would look best with belted shorts, a boyfriend blazer, a barely-there silk tank, and some chunky Mary Jane-type platforms, methinks.
2) Keening and dying over these Haute Hippie suede fringed spats. They’re $395, so I suspect they’re never finding their way to my closet, but I can imagine if you’re handy with a sewing machine they wouldn’t be too tough to DIY.
2) These Unique Cable-Knit Thigh-Highs ($50) are amazing, and I love them with layers, layers, and more layers. Maybe an enormous off-the-shoulder dove-grey sweater. Maybe it could be Alexander Wang. But I’m open to suggestion.
Oh, and these are only $60. Just FYI.
