The makeup artist on the Minwax shoot, Carol, introduced me to this Make Up For Ever foundation, which is specifically formulated for HD on-camera usage. Apparently it creates a “soft-focus effect” that looks natural under harsh lighting. Obviously a bit too heavy for everyday, but it created a completely flaweless – and yet somehow dewy (or perhaps that was the overwhelming heat in my kitchen…?) – finish that I loved.
P.S. Carol accidentally spilled a little foundation on my white vanity, and whisked it up in just seconds using – yes – a spritz of my lavender water. I told you it’s a miracle product.
