Some people are picky about their clothing, or their lip gloss, or their lovers. Me? I’m picky about my pasta. Specifically, my baked pasta. I want the perfect pasta-to-cheese ratio, which means I want it absolutely cascading long trails of melty mozzarella. I more or less want it to look exactly like that photo up there.
For the last couple of weeks I’ve been a little extra-lazy about dinner, which means we’ve been doing lots of takeout. Recently, though, we discovered a new favorite neighborhood spot: Gino’s Pizza, which is a miniscule walk from our apartment and is the restaurant responsible for producing my new favorite pasta in the world (this week, at least). Dinner for two runs less than $20, and there’s a lovely little outdoor seating area just out of reach of the Second Avenue Subway Construction Disaster. I’ve tried the penne a la vodka, the gnocchi, and aforementioned baked ravioli, and all are fab. The pizza looks excellent, as well. Recommended!
