Above, the results of the Jones New York shoot I did over at the Conde Nast building last month (you remember, the one I got all emotional about).
The goal: to create an easy fall look using one stylish basic (a pair of JNY slimming denim) and one fun element. Anyone surprised I immediately plucked the poofy faux fur jacket from the racks?

That’s the thing about a pair of great-fitting, perfectly tailored jeans like the ones pictured here – and especially in a dark wash (which makes them a bit less casual): all you have to do is pick something unique to pair with them (forego the usual button-down or tee in favor of something bedazzled, vintage, or otherwise eye-catchingly offbeat), the look goes from, you know, “Nice, but nothing out-of-the-ordinary” to…
“That girl is wearing a faux fur poof.”
