During our Cold Spring trip, I couldn’t resist a stop into Decades Antiques (formerly Juan Rosado Antiques & Collectibles) to check out the unbelievable Jadeite collection. I came very close to buying the large bowl with handle and spout ($48) pictured in the lower right-hand corner; so gorgeous (and useful!).
The shop also has a great collection of antique salt-and-pepper shakers (these oversized ones reminded me of the Jadeite shakers that Kendrick gave me last Christmas).
I also discovered a new obsession: Fire King, milky, pale-blue (bluer than it looks in this photo) glassware that’s sorta similar to Pyrex. It was originally produced during the 1940s and was often given away at gas stations or included as promotional items in things like flour sacks. A-dore.
