As you can see, I cut off all my hair.
It was time for a change: I’ve had it super-long for a year or so now, and I wanted to lighten up for summer. The inspiration: Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface mixed with a dash of my mom in the ’70s. Karmela gave me a long blunt-cut bob with bangs, and I love it; I feel so much more…chilled-out. Less fussy. More springy.
Speaking of “springy”, how perfect is this weather right now (on the East Coast, anyway)? It’s absolutely the most fun weather to get dressed for, I think, because you get to wear what you want, rather than wearing whatever makes you less miserably hot/cold.
And what I want to wear – obviously – is a plaid shirt and jeans. All the time.
Best part: once night falls, all you have to do with an outfit like this is lose the plaid and add a little sparkle.
And fun heels. For fun.
