Love this tip from Galtime.com: to keep your cutting board from sliding around on your work surface (both annoying and dangerous, especially when there are small, furry creatures winding around your ankles), place a lightly dampened towel under the board. When you’re done chopping, you can use that same towel to wipe off your countertop.
