No trip to Canada is complete without a tarot card reading from my Aunt Trudy, so late last night, after Thanksgiving Dinner #2 at Aunt Jo’s, Mom, Trudy and I sat down around the kitchen table with tea and cards.
What I learned from this reading: I’m sort of overwhelmed at the moment – see that tumultuous-waves card up top? – but am headed towards a period of happiness, especially in my home life, and a time during which I’ll see things come “full circle.” I should explore new relationships and care for my existing friendships; in short, I should open up the lines of communication wherever possible.
A lot will change about three months from now – in a good way – and the new year is going to bring more peace, security, and stability than I’ve felt in awhile (a lot of that will be tied to the strength of my relationship with Kendrick). See that card at the very bottom? That’s the “protection” card, which basically watches over the entire reading, and is a great card to see in that position.
What I need to work on: my health, both physical and emotional. Basically, I need to take better care of myself: sleeping, eating right, and taking it easy when I’m feeling under the weather (yay for having gotten a head start on that).
Do I believe in this stuff? Yes, absolutely, 100%. I do, though, think that the greatest benefit of a tarot reading comes from the subject’s willingness to interpret and learn from what they hear. This reading meant a lot to me, because it seemed to answer some questions I’ve had lately, and offered suggestions for steps I can take to move things along in the right direction.
Trudy offers tarot card readings via email and the phone, and seriously…if you have pressing questions in your life, it’s worth talking to her. I always feel better when I do, anyway. Email me for more info and I’ll send you her way.
