Tree = done.
As much as I love looking at pictures of those homes that are stunningly decorated for the holidays, with all things white and gold and glittery and perfectly matching…I have to say, I really like the fact that our tree contains weird blue crabs, plaster Lucys, random pickles, and painted slabs of wood that Kendrick clearly created when he was four, and is in no way chic or pulled-together.
In celebration of our completed tree, we decided to take another shot at generating a family photo in which all five members were present and at least marginally normal-looking (not blinking, grimacing, or climbing on top of each other for seriously, guys, just one second).
And sort of succeeded!
(Christmas ornaments are pretty exciting.)
(Sometimes it can be hard to pick just one.)
I had to do a little climbing-on-top-of-each-other for just one shot. Kendrick was thrilled, as you can see.
