Like Mudslides, the Rum Punches in the Caymans are nothing short of spectacular. Even without alcohol, they’re just exactly what you want to be drinking on a hot day at the beach. I watched the bartender on our boat trip make one, and it looked like 3 parts orange juice, 1 part pineapple juice, a squeeze of fresh lime, and a splash of grenadine for color (let it float on top for a pretty sunset effect).
If you’re adding alcohol (which unless you’re pregnant or underage you really should), go for a generous shot of either light or dark rum – whichever’s your preference. And of course garnish with a cherry and/or paper umbrella.
P.S. This guy recommends adding a little Hawaiian Punch to the mixture, which I think sounds fantastic.
