How To Look Good When You Feel Bad
Sometimes staying in bed on a sick day just isn't an option. Here's how to keep the damage to a minimum.

On Break
One especially fun thing about having a husband in business school: school breaks.
Remember those? They’re AMAZING. You get to sleep in and eat junk and have literally nothing to do except for catch up on House of Cards.
Except when you have kids, and then you don’t really get to do those things. But because Kendrick definitely deserves a little time-out, we’ve been finding ways to make these past few days feel like as much like a for-real vacation as possible: ordering in Chinese and pizza, watching lots of holiday movies, and going on little mini-dates that involve walks through our town and eating sushi at our favorite Dobbs Ferry restaurant.
When Ramshackle Glam Met The Cut…In Frye

Black Crowe
When I emerged from our bedroom in this outfit Kendrick took one look at me and said "You look like a Black Crowe."
I'll take that as a compliment.
It's comprised of four pieces - jeans, boots, tunic, hat - that I wear so often that it's getting a little weird (that tunic, incidentally, is a maternity top that I swore up and down I'd keep wearing after the baby, and yep: totally have), and a cardigan that I've owned for three or four years but have never worn because it's just…a lot. I mean, it's big. And fuzzy. And kind of oddly fancy. And not especially appropriate when there is a really excellent chance that someone will vomit on me over the course of any given day.
