Gorgeous Polish, Great Cause

Presenting: Ann Taylor's beautiful new polish palette, created to support the fight against breast cancer.

Although I think you can't lose with that pale shade on the left, my personal favorite is Ribbon Pink (in the center).

It's what I chose for this week's beachy travels; I felt like it was summery but still classic (you can see Kendrick photobombing his approval in the background).

What To Wear: 21st Birthday

Q. Hi, Jordan!

My 21st birthday is coming up in June (so excited!) and I'm having trouble deciding what to wear. My birthday plan involves a long night of bar-hopping...but I'm extremely clumsy [even] when I'm sober; I don't want to be that girl who ends up tripping down the stairs and flashing the entire crowd.

Maybe dressy shorts if there is such a thing? It will be a long night so being able to move around and be comfortable would be nice. Thanks so much!

My Looks

Flowers In The Market

During my junior year of college, I decided to take a semester to study abroad in London. I enrolled at University College London, and ended up living in a dorm room that looked very much like a prison cell (complete with a serious mildew-and-spiders problem, oh my god) but was fortunately located in a part of town that - to my mind, anyway - was definitely the coolest.

The best part of where we lived: it was about a two-minute walk away from the Camden markets, a sort of linked-up bunch of retail shops that sold everything from souvenirs to club wear to food and antiques. (If none of this is still true, apologies - we're working from 10-year-old memories here.) I didn't do a lot of shopping while I lived in London, actually (because of the whole Terrible Exchange Rate issue), but I did buy a few things.

And my favorite thing that I bought was this skirt.

Polka-Dot Pants, Three Ways

Oh my goodness, do I ever love my new pants.

Now, I'm big on pairing black-and-white with neutrals and denim, but the way to really make the look extra-special is to add a touch of super-bright (even neon) color. If you feel like going big, try a blouse in a saturated shade; if subtle is more your thing an amazing necklace or bag does the trick nicely.

Three ways I'd wear the look:

Out With The Old, In With The Blue

Alright, I'm not gonna lie: this isn't my favorite outfit in the world.

The pants? Favorite. I bought them in Colorado and have barely taken them off since; they're just the most comfortable things in the world.

And I love them with the teal blouse and the matching shoes, but the navy sweater just...eh. It sort of dulls down the whole look.

But you know what? Sometimes one is cold, and so one puts on a navy sweater that doesn't quite match because that's just how life goes. And yeah, this sweater is a good eight years old and has seen better days, but I have so many fond memories of it that I wanted to wear it one more time before it gets too warm.
